Our Elisabeth group consists of 7 women from the parish. Our task is to provide a charitable service to elderly and sick members of the parish of Nebelschütz.
Three times a year, we invite mainly older senior citizens, sick people and single people from the parish to the parish hall for a chat over coffee and cake. We also offer a pick-up service. We are supported in this task by mobile pensioners. During the Advent season, the senior citizens are catered for by us Elisabeth women at the Advent celebration organised jointly by the community and the parish.
Every 5 years, we congratulate senior citizens who have reached their 70th birthday with a small gift on behalf of the parish and the parish priest. For seniors aged 75 and over, we pack small parcels at Christmas and visit them at home. We see ourselves as a link to the parish community and establish contact with the priest on request.
At parish festivals, the Elisabeth Women help with the preparation and catering.
Independently of the Elisabeth Women, the senior citizens organise a senior citizens' breakfast on the first Tuesday of every month after the early mass, which begins at 8.00 am. The focus is on socialising. Photo shows and presentations are offered, among other things.

Advent celebration on Monday, 9 December 2024 from 3.00 pm in the "Bjesada" parish hall
Summer party for senior citizens on Monday, 10 June 2024, weather permitting, on the parish terrace. Then summer break until the end of August.
